TERMS OF SERVICE

 

Please read our Terms of Service that are written below before enquiring about

Hiring our Professional Bagpiping Services or making a booking with us.

 

Before we proceed to the next stage of our booking, we will ask that you read our Terms of Service

and if you either AGREE or DO NOT AGREE.

 

If you AGREE, we ask that you reply to our email with the following statement:

"I (YOUR NAME) AGREE to the Terms of Service. (DATE HERE)" 

 

If this is the case, we will proceed with the process of booking. 

 

If you DO NOT AGREE, please reply to our email with the following statement:

 "I (YOUR NAME) DO NOT AGREE to the Terms of Service. (DATE HERE)" 

If this is the case, we will not proceed any further with the process of booking.

Booking and Booking Requirements

 

As we are only a small business, we can only accept bookings three years advance of the time

of the booking. (Example - 01/01/20 - 31/12/23)

 

Bookings with us are on a first-come, first-serve basis, which means to secure your selected date

to book our professional bagpiping services, you will need to pay a Secure-Day Deposit.

 

​We require a non-refundable Secure-Day Deposit to confirm your booking and

to secure your selected date.

 

If you wish to book our Professional Bagpiping Services, we must receive the following information below to process your booking. 

Client Details

  • Your full name

  • Your preferred phone number

  • Your preferred email address

  • Your preferred billing address

 

Event Details

  • Service Category - what we are providing our professional bagpiping services.

  • Service Supply Date - the date you wish to book us.

  • Critical times - if appropriate, we will ask for other start times too if necessary.

  • Bagpipers instructions - what you would like us to do on the day.

  • Any additional information - What you think we need to know.

Privacy Notice

We comply fully with the requirements of the above Legislation.

All your personal information will obtain in line with the legislation guidance.

 

We need to collect your personal information so that we can process and secure a booking

and make contact before any service supply date.

 

By agreeing, to our terms of service you have given us your consent to

collect, store and dispose of any personal information.

  

We will use your personal information to;

 

  • ​Provide you with a confirmation of your booking communicating via email and telephone. 

  • Update you in respect of payment confirmation notifying you via email and telephone.

  • To contact, you should there be any cause for cancellation or a change to your booking.​ 

 

We undertake to store your personal information safely and securely and will not share any of your personal information with any third party or person.

You have the right to request access to the personal information that we hold about you by making

a 'subject access request'.

If any of your personal information is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to request that

we correct or complete your personal information.

 

We will respond to any requests from an individual to exercise their legitimate right to be informed about any information we may hold about you and given adequate information; we will also 

comply with a reasonable request to remove and destroy any personal information

we may hold about you. 

 

Any personal information we hold we store on our electronic filing system and on a paper file

which is only accessed and controlled by Jamie Brownlie.

General Data Protection Regulations

Photography and Videography Permission

By agreeing to our terms of service, you have given us your consent that we can use any Photos or Videos for our Digital and Physical advertising.

 

If you do not wish for this to happen, please email us with the statement below:

"I (YOUR NAME) DO NOT WISH FOR THE AUTISTIC PIPER – JAMIE BROWNLIE TO USE ANY

PHOTOGRAPHY OR VIDEOGRAPHY FORM OUR EVENT OR SPECIAL OCCASION."

Deposits, Payments and Refunds

 

Secure-Day Deposits

We require a non-refundable but, transferable Secure-Day Deposit to confirm, complete your booking and to secure your chosen date.

 

If you haven't paid your Secure-Day Deposit on the date of the booking, we require that the Secure-Date Deposit payments are made within seven working days from the date of invoice.

 

If your chosen booking date is within seven working days, we require that you pay the Secure-Date Deposit payment within two working days from the date of booking.

 

We will also hold your chosen date for seven working days while we wait for your Secure-Date Deposit payment form the date of the invoice (if applicable.)

 

Failure to pay your Secure-Date Deposit within seven working days will result in your selected date being made available again to the public for booking. 

 

Your Secure-Day Deposit is valid form the date we receive your Secure-Day Deposit to your selected Service Supply Date the year after. 

If you wish to change your chosen Service Supply Date within that time, you can do so free of charge providing that all your other booking details stay the same

and if we are available on that date.

If we are not available on the new Service Supply Date you have chosen, on the unfortunate event,

we will class this as a cancellation, and we will not refund your Secure-Date Deposit.

If you change your booking details as well as your Service Supply Date,

we will class this as a new booking.

(Example - Service Supply Date - 05/05/21 | Deposit Extension to - 05/05/22)

Secure-Date Deposit Payments

We prefer that you make any Secure-Day Deposit payments via electronic bank transfer.

 

However, checks and cash payments are also acceptable, and you can deliver your Secure-Day Deposit to the address on our website on our contact page.

 

Final Payments

Final payment options include electronic bank transfers, checks or cash.

We require that you pay and outstanding balances you may have with us before the performance(s) in cleared funds before your Service Supply Date or cash on arrival.

 

Final Payments made by cash are accepted only before the performance(s) on the day; however, we do not accept cheques and electronic bank transfers on the day.

 

If you choose to pay via cheque or electronic bank transfer, we require that you make your final payment between the date we issued the invoice and five working days before your chosen booking date.

 

Refunds

 

Refunds via Electronic Bank Transfers

If you are applicable for a refund, please allow five working days for the required amount to be refunded back into the account that the payment(s) was made from originally.

 

Refunds in Cash

If you are applicable for a refund, please allow fourteen working days to us to arrange for the required amount to be refunded back only to you.

Alterations, Advancements and Postponements

 

Alterations

If you wish to make alterations to your booking after confirming the booking by paying the Secure-Date Deposit, we will review your changes and get back to you within five working days with a new quote. (if applicable.)

 

If your new quote is a higher charge than the original agreed-upon service charge because of your alterations, we will give you fourteen working days to decide if you wish to continue with your booking or that you wish to cancel your booking.

Advancements

If you wish not to cancel your booking but to bring your booking with us forward,

Remember that your Secure-Date Deposit is still valid as your new chosen booking date

is not exceeding the Secure-Date Deposit's expiry date.

Postponements

If you wish not to cancel your booking but to postpone your booking with us to a future date, please read the subcategory titled

'Secure-Day Deposit's' under the category 'Deposits and Payments'.

Cancellations

 

Cancellations made by you

Should you wish to cancel your booking with us, we ask that you get in touch as soon as possible.

 

Any cancellations to bookings made by you will make your Secure-Day Deposit non-refundable.

 

Any cancellations to bookings made by you will also result in the following us charging the following fees:

 

  •  More than 100 days before the performance time, 0% of the remaining fee.

  • Within 60 to 100 days before the performance time, 50% of the remaining fee.

  • Within 30 to 60 days before the performance time, 75% of the remaining fee.

  • Within 30 days before the performance time, 100% of the remaining fee.

 

Any future bookings will require you to place a new Secure-Day Deposit as we will class this as a new booking and therefore, we will not carry on your previous Secure-Day Deposit from your previous cancelled booking. 

No payment will be due to The Autistic Piper Jamie Brownlie if we are unable to perform due to unforeseeable circumstances or 'force majeure', such as national mourning, war, fire or strike action.

If it is either foreseeable or appropriate notification not given, the client will be responsible for fulfilling their end of the contract as noted above under 'Cancellations made by you'.

 

Cancellations made by us

Should The Autistic Piper - Jamie Brownlie have to cancel your booking we will make every attempt possible to find a replacement piper to the same grade or we in this case only will refund your Secure-Day Deposit.

Contact Policy

 

If we have to contact you regarding your booking with us at any time between the date of booking and your Service Supply Date,

we will only contact you via the phone number and email address you have provided us. Any enquiries that you make through social media about booking our professional bagpiping services we will ask them to do the same if they wish to continue with a booking.

Offers and Discounts

 

Offers and Discounts that we offer are only valid for limited periods and could only be for specific bookings, packages or venues.

T&C's will apply.

What payment do we redact our offer or discount from?

The discounts we offer are redacted from your original Final Payment cost before the discount is applied and NOT from your

Secure-Date Deposit. The reason for this is that your Secure-Date Deposit is a secure payment of 30% of your

original outstanding cost to secure and confirm your booking with us.

ZERO-TOLERANCE POLICY

 

The safety and well-being of our team and clients are paramount. 

 

NO HARASSMENT of any kind is tolerated, and this will be addressed appropriately.
